What a PPI typically covers

• Engine: leaks, noises, oil condition, obvious belt or chain-age concerns we can see
• Cooling: radiator, hoses, coolant level and condition — Texas heat is not optional
• Transmission and drivetrain: leaks, fluid when we can check it, shift feel on a road test when it is safe
• Brakes and suspension: pad and rotor condition, pulls, clunks, tire wear patterns
• Electrical: lamps, charging when tested, battery health
• Undercarriage: impact, rust, exhaust, CV boots, seepage
• A scan for stored codes when the vehicle allows it

A three-minute test drive around a seller’s block is not a transmission inspection. A Texas sticker is not a PPI. Inspection here is $18.50 drive-in for the state test — a different job from a used-car teardown on the lift. If you also want a sticker after you buy, that is the inspection page.

How to get the car here before you pay

• Agree with the seller to bring it to 16220 West Bellfort, or drive it yourself if you are insured and allowed
